Kivix - A Bell from Estonia?

A Bell from Estonia - Day 118 - Daily Content Challenge

The bell I am sharing with you today has the word Kivix on it. I am not sure of the spelling, but when I googled Kivix, I discovered a company in Estonia. Since I know I was in Estonia to play handbells I am going to assume this bell came from my trip to Tallinn and Pärnu in Estonia.

I shared a bit about Tallinn in a previous post, so today I will tell you about Pärnu.

Pärnu is a city in southwestern Estonia. Its long tradition as a resort has made Pärnu well known in Finland and the other Scandinavian countries.

As part of the Handbell Tour called Ringing Under the Northern Lights, we travelled to Pärnu to participate in a handbell concert at the Concert Hall in Pärnu. Pärnu Concert Hall is also home to the Pärnu Music School and the Pärnu City Orchestra. This beautiful hall was constructed in 2002.

We stayed at a hotel by the sandy Pärnu Beach overlooking Pärnu Bay. Pärnu is a resort city and there are many things to see and do. I was able to rent a bicycle and enjoyed riding along the paths on both sides of the Pärnu River and exploring this lovely city.
