Do Your Best at All Times

Kekich Credo Statements - Do Your Best at All Times - Day 233- Daily Content Challenge

Kekich Credo #45 - Out-think, out-innovate and out-hustle the competition, and vividly visualize yourself as winning before entering into every deal or competitive situation. Maintain a blood-smelling, fighter pilot life-or-death attitude when any deal gets near to a close.

Out-think, out-innovate and out-hustle the competition.  To out-think is to think outside the box and to be willing to consider different solutions and actions for reaching your desired outcome. Thinking differently can have a powerful and positive effect. To out-innovate is to find the best new way to do something. To out-hustle means to hustle more than your competition or to outdo or defeat by hustling. In a positive sense, to hustle means  to proceed or work rapidly or energetically.  So to out-hustle the competition you need to do your best and strive for excellence at all times.

The word competition and the phrase visualize yourself as winning are two things that stand out to me in this credo statement. Growing up I was an athlete competing in a number of team sports and also in athletics.  As an adult I coached competitive gymnastics. One of the things I would have my gymnasts do is visualize themselves doing a perfect beam routine.  If one sees yourself as winning, then during the actual competition you will have a better result than if you see yourself falling off the beam. Thinking positively and believing in yourself is needed to be successful.

The last sentence uses the verb maintain … when any deal gets near to a close.  Again I think of a competition.  In a game you need to keep the pressure on til the end of the game.  If you get ahead and then let off, quite often you end up losing the game.  Don’t lose focus.  Stay in the game until the final second.

Do your best and strive for excellence.
