Kekich Credo #55 - Enjoy life. Treat it as an adventure. Care passionately about the outcome, but keep it in perspective. Things are seldom as bleak as they seem when they are going wrong – or as good as they seem when they are going well. Lighten up. You’ll live longer.
I love this! Enjoy life. Treat it as an adventure. Sounds like my motto. Living Life Abundantly! Â
A synonym for ‘enjoy life’ is to ‘live life to the fullest’. Live every day with a fresh new start. Don’t get held back by what happened yesterday. Living your life to the fullest is a process. Don’t get frustrated if it takes you a while to learn new things, or if you experience setbacks.
Be honest with yourself and with others. We hold ourselves back from learning and growing, when we aren’t honest with ourselves. Trust gets damaged when we aren’t honest with others. Make a list of your strengths and focus on developing them.
Push yourself out of your comfort zone. The more you are willing to challenge yourself, the more comfortable you become with new experiences. Getting out of your comfort zone can help you develop the flexibility you need to deal with unexpected roadblocks. People who don’t take risks and push themselves are more likely to regret not doing so later in life.Â
When you live life to the fullest, you take chances. Sometimes, things don’t go the way you hoped. If you are afraid of taking a chance because it might not work out, you may miss out on opportunities. Look for learning opportunities. Think about what you can learn from whatever situation you encounter. This will help keep you focused on moving forward, rather than looking back. Learning new things also helps keep your brain active and you are more likely to feel healthy mentally and emotionally.
Practice an attitude of gratitude. Recognize every day the things you are grateful for. Gratitude makes you feel healthier, happier and more positive. Let others know how grateful you are to have them in your life. Take the time to acknowledge the small things such as an unexpected message from a friend or a beautiful sunny morning. Sharing your gratitude can also help others feel positive too. Â
Laugh. Laughter is really the best medicine. Laughter lowers stress hormones. Endorphins are released and your mood elevates. Laughter burns calories and sends oxygen to your body which helps you feel more positive and healthy. Laughter is also contagious. When you express joy through laughter, others are likely to share it with you. Start the day with a smile. Greet yourself in the mirror with a smile first thing in the morning. Your happy face may just be enough to keep that mood flowing all day long.
Why should you live life to the fullest? When you do, you feel like you can overcome anything. Every day is an opportunity to greatness. It is amazing what a little positivity can do to a person’s outlook.Â
