Attitude

Kekich Credo Statements - Attitude - Day 264 - Daily Content Challenge

Kekich Credo #76 - “I will do this” is the only attitude that works. “I’ll try” or “I think” doesn’t work.

The definition of attitude is a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something.  Your attitude is reflected in your behaviour.

Attitude is important because it can influence your ability to cope with the highs and lows of life.  Having a positive attitude can help you achieve measurable success in your personal and professional life.

Henry Ford said, “If you think you can or think you can’t, you are right.” Your attitude and beliefs are key factors in determining your ultimate success or failure.

Your attitude defines your level of success.  If you have a bad attitude, you will never really be successful. If you have a generally upbeat attitude you will always achieve some level of success. Your attitude determines how you interpret what events mean.

Having a winning attitude means you focus on showing the value of your product or service.  Customers are more concerned with solving their problems and getting a complete solution rather than getting the lowest price.

People with a winning attitude focus on possibilities.  They are persistent despite life’s ups and downs and they take pride in doing their best. Ways to keep a winning attitude include focusing on your passions. Think positively and set high goals and monitor your progress instead of specific results. Don’t make excuses.  Surround yourself with the right people and never give up.

A positive attitude is key to living a positive life.  People with positive attitudes remain hopeful and see the best in even difficult situations.  They are optimistic about situations, interactions, and themselves. A positive attitude helps you cope better with the daily challenges you are likely to face.

This credo says “I will do this” is the only attitude that works.  The phrase “I’ll try” or “I think” doesn’t work.

When most people say “I’ll try”, what they really mean is “I’ll give it a shot” or “I’ll put some effort into it” but what they are really thinking is “I don’t think I can do it.”  Consciously or subconsciously you are creating a convenient way out when you say “I’ll try.”  It is a cop-out response when you are dealing with anything that presents a challenge.

Saying “I will” is in itself a victory.  Knowing you have to do your very best to succeed is, in itself, a driving force and a determining factor in whether you do succeed or fail. Even though you may not succeed, the fact that you did your best, is a step forward.

Trying implies that you are not serious. It is an excuse that gives you a way out of committing.  Maybe you really do want to do that hard thing, but it’s too hard, and it’s just not something you want to go all-in on.

Do or Do Not - There is no TRY!  When you say “I will do it now” you mean “It is the next thing I will do, starting now.”

The next time someone asks you to do something, don’t even say “I will,” Just Do It!
