Motivation - Empower

It's not about ideas. It's about making ideas happen. Scott Belskey

The title of this post is Empower. Empower means to give someone the authority or power to do something.  It makes someone stronger and more confident.

Empowerment is a state of being in which we recognize and celebrate our own or someone else’s potential. It means you value one’s abilities, goals, and learning. It helps you feel appreciated, supported, and motivated.  It gives you a sense of control in your life and creates a purpose.

Personal empowerment means taking control of your own life.  You make positive decisions based on what you want. It is closely linked to self-esteem and self-confidence.  True empowerment comes when you convert intention into action.  An empowered person does not shy away from the consequences of their actions.  You are able to face facts, admit mistakes and be confident that it does not diminish your essential worth.

One way to empower others is to express appreciation for their efforts.  Encourage them by giving support, confidence or hope.  Offering positive feedback for their initiative makes people feel valued and appreciated. When you empower another person, you impact that person and they in turn impact the world.

Growth, learning, education, and development all become achievable goals when you are empowered.  You have the ability to face fears and keep moving. You don’t let yourself be crippled by anxiety. Living an empowered life means living life for you and being true to yourself no matter how hard it might be.

It's not about ideas. It's about making ideas happen. Scott Belskey

Having an idea is just the beginning.  Making it happen is called execution.  Execution is what you need to do to be successful.

How can you turn your ideas into reality?  Focus on the end result.  First of all, who will be served by your idea?  How it will affect them.  Then plan backward.  Most times the best way to go forward is to go backward.  Evaluate your proposal and ask for feedback.

Be empowered and put your ideas into action.
