Roar with Excitement and Make a Splash!
Roar with Excitement and Make a Splash! - Day 345 - Daily Content Challenge
A waterfall is a point where water flows over a rocky ledge and after a steep vertical drop, plunges into a pool below. Angel Falls, in Venezuela, is the longest waterfall in the world. It is so long, (3,212 feet or 979 metres) that the water usually turns to mist before it reaches the bottom.
Most waterfalls are formed by the process of erosion. As a river flows over different banks of rock it picks up sediment along the way. Water erodes soft rock more quickly than hard rock. This may lead to the creation of a waterfall.
The smell of a waterfall is so refreshing. The water is clean and the way it falls through the air is like fresh rainfall.
One of my favourite places to visit is Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada. Cameron Falls is located in the Waterton townsite. This 75 foot waterfall falls over a section of bedrock that has been eroded in various layers at different angles. The water takes several different paths down the rock face creating a double “X” pattern. (See photo)
Normally the water at Cameron Falls is clear. Occasionally it turns bright pink after a heavy rainfall. Sediment called agrolite gets released into the water during the rain and makes the water look pink or red when the light hits it. It is really quite an amazing sight to see.

Here are my thoughts as I reflected on the advice from a Waterfall.
-
Go with the flow - Sometimes things don’t always go as one planned but as a teacher I learned the need to be flexible and to go with the flow.
-
Roar with excitement - Waterfalls are quite noisy and make it difficult to hear conversations. Standing near a waterfall is exciting, so if you have something to share, roar with excitement.
-
Let your cares fall away - A waterfall is refreshing. Let your cares fall away. The water is so clear and clean as it falls over the edge and plunges to the bottom.
-
Create your own music - the sound each waterfall makes is unique
-
Immerse yourself in nature - get outside and explore the amazing things in nature
-
Stay active - move more, sit less
-
Make a splash! - Enjoy life - make a difference in this world and share your unique gifts with others.
Have a great day everyone.
