Give Thanks
Give Thanks - Content Challenge - Day 24 - Daily Content Challenge
I started this challenge by talking about giving thanks. I am amazed at how much there is to give thanks for. Looking back over my posts I see such a variety of things that we often just take for granted yet we are so fortunate to be able to enjoy.
In the last three weeks, I have enjoyed the change in the seasons. The beautiful colors of fall as the leaves change from green to golds and reds. With the falling of the leaves, it provided our Cuba Mission Team the opportunity to reach out to help others by raking leaves for them and also to use this event to do some funding raising for future teams to go to Cuba. Then the first snowfall yesterday. The snow looks so clean and white as it has settled on the naked branches of the trees.
Today the temperature is below freezing and the trees are shining in the sunlight proudly displaying their new clothes under the bright blue sky. I am so thankful that the Creator of the Universe has so much imagination and provides so much color for us to enjoy.
Other posts included talking about the relationships we are thankful for. Family members and friends that enrich our lives. Today is my sister’s birthday. I am thankful for Ruth. Many of the stories in My Travelling Tuesdays book that I heard was finally finished, are about my trips to visit Ruth as she served as a Diplomatic in many places around the world.
Thanks for the opportunities to travel and the many exciting adventures that I have had.
Other people enrich my life on a daily basis. I get to ring Handbells with a group of ringers in my community. I am thankful for their commitment to show up each week for rehearsals and for their willingness to put up with me.
I am able to hold my Read-On Math class online and enjoy the friendships that have developed with my students. I get to play Scrabble with some Seniors each week and it is great to connect with old and new friends.
Life is not boring! Look for those little things that you can give thanks for and you will enjoy life to the full.
