NO! You Are NOT Too Old.
I saw a post today that shared the following categories based on age.
- 0-17 years old: underage
- 18-65 years old: youth/young people
- 66-79 years old: middle-aged
- 80-99 years old: elderly/senior
- 100+ years old: long-lived elderly
According to this list, 65 does not mean you are a Senior - You are still Young!
I know when I go to my local Seniors Center, I don’t think of myself as a Senior. In my mind the Seniors are those young minded 80+ year olds. They are still engaged in their community, they are still coming out to play card games or floor-curling or scrabble, and they still come and take part in exercise classes, art classes, or computer courses. Most important of all, they have so many experiences to share with all of us. We can learn so much from them.
Life-long learning is the best way to stay young! Learning to use your online devices to join others on video conferences, sending messages to friends or even taking an online course, helps to keep your brain active and it makes life way more interesting. Do puzzles or playing word games like scrabble keeps your brain active too!
For myself I am amazed that I learned the skills to be able to write about my travel adventures and now I am a published author!
Be Encouraged! - Keep learning and remember we are all still young!
