Three Little Elephants
Three Little Elephants - Day 126 - Daily Content Challenge
Located on my curio shelf are three miniature elephants carved from wood. For today’s picture, I arranged these in a line with the largest one in front. Generally that is how I display the sets of elephants that I have.
In reality, elephants are the largest land mammals on earth.
Led by a matriarch, elephants are organized in complex social structures of females and calves.
Males generally live alone or in smaller bachelor groups.
I have had the opportunity to see many elephants while on my travels. When I visited my sister, Ruth, in Zimbabwe we had a trip to Victoria Falls and I went on a Chobe Day Trip into Botswana. I was thrilled to see a long line of elephants crossing a river.
I have a number of elephants as mementos of my trips and I will share them with you in the next few days.
