Camels on a Wooden Bowl
Camels on a Wooden Bowl - Day 169 - Daily Content Challenge
I have a lovely Wooden Bowl. There are camels and a few palm trees carved around the sides of the bowl. I also can see a small tag with the price listed in KD. KD is Kuwaiti Dinar so I am guessing I found this in a shop in Kuwait. Â
I have used this bowl on my dining room table to hold dinner buns. I placed a table napkin inside the bowl first and then added the bread buns. Â
If your theme for your decorations or table setting is camels or an Arabian evening, this makes a perfect addition to your table.
While living in Kuwait, I had a bicycle and would often take my bike over the highway via the pedestrian overpass from Salwa to Mishref. Mishref is a residential area and I enjoyed riding my bike around Mishref park and seeing the many date palms that grew there. The Mishref Co-op is located there as well and we would often go there to get our groceries and shop in the other stores found in this shopping area.
When our new school opened in Hawalli, Kuwait our school was close to a different shopping district but there were many shops where one could find items like this wooden bowl. Â
I enjoyed teaching high school maths at an International School in Kuwait and my many souvenirs remind me of the many interesting experiences I was able to have. Many of my stories are recorded in my recently published Travelling Tuesdays book. Be sure and grab your copy today.
