Reasons for Gratitude - Day 2 of Daily Content Challenge
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!
Yesterday I shared six reasons for being grateful for Technology.
Today I want to give thanks for a number of blessings I received yesterday. ‘Count your blessings, count them one by one …’
1. A conversation with a neighbor - so nice to be outside at the same time she stepped out for a walk
2. A Sunny October day - sunshine makes me feel happy!
3. D. for removing the Morning Glory Plant wrapped so tightly around the lamp post before the leaves change and fall into the pool. Not an easy task, the vines had to be cut all around the pole and the base. Once it was detached, then D. dragged it to the dumpster. Thank you D. you are appreciated.
4. The Right to Vote - just voted in the advance poll. Interesting staying in my car - it took 40 minutes from the time I joined the line to exit the site. Beautiful sunny day - so nice to see the election workers doing their job to make the process run smoothly. Kudos to the citizen who rode her bicycle and was able to cast her vote too!
5. This exercise reminds me of the hymn - Count Your Blessings
Author: Johnson Oatman (1897)
Here is the Refrain:
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your blessings, see what God hath done;
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.
