Kekich Credo #34 - Invest only after strict and complete due diligence. Don’t allow yourself to be rushed. Make important decisions carefully, consider your gut feelings… then pull the trigger.
What is due diligence? Due diligence means reasonable care and caution or the proper actions that a situation calls for. Actions that help to avoid harm or risk. Due diligence is the investigation or exercise of care that a person is expected to take before entering into an agreement or contract with another party.Â
By taking the time and care to investigate one can make an informed decision. Decision making is the process of making choices by gathering information and assessing alternative resolutions.Â
A good decision-maker chooses actions that give the best outcome for themselves and others. Enter into the decision-making process with an open mind. Make decisions rationally, after researching alternatives and understand the consequences.
Strong decision-making helps solve problems promptly. Strong decisions should be impartial and be free of any emotional influences that might overlook shortcomings. Decision-making should be transparent and logical. Good decision making can move you forward toward success. The worst thing you can do is to not make a decision at all.
The choices or decisions we make can impact our lives either in a good way or a bad way. The choices we make shape us and help us to identify who we are to ourselves and to other people. If you are impulsive, it means you act on instinct without thinking through decisions. If you make a hasty decision it often leads to negative consequences.Â
As this credo statement says, make important decisions carefully. Don’t be rushed but make a decision and then take action and follow through on the decision you made.
What decision do you have to make today? Yes or No? Make your choice and then take ACTION.Â
