Keywords to Apply in Your Life
Kekich Credo Statements - Keywords to Apply in Your Life - Day 225 - Daily Content Challenge
Kekich Credo #37 - Business is the highest evolution of consciousness and morality. The essences of business are: honesty, effort, responsibility, integration, creativity, objectivity, long-range planning, intensity, effectiveness, discipline, thought and control. Business is life on all levels at all times.
This credo statement lists a number of words that Kekich says are the essences of business. I decided to find the definition or meaning of each of these words.
-
Honesty - Honesty means uprightness of character or action. It implies that one refuses to lie, steal, or deceive in any way.
-
Effort - When you make the effort to do something, you do it. Sometimes you may need extra energy to do it and sometimes you may not really want to do it But you make the effort and do it anyway.
-
Responsibility - Responsibility means being dependable, making good choices, and taking accountability for your actions. When we take responsibility for our actions we blame ourselves. We acknowledge a fault rather than blame someone else or make excuses.
-
Integration - Integration is defined as mixing things or people together that were formerly separated. In our online businesses putting all the pieces of the puzzle together comes to mind. Your domain, setting up your Social Media presence, website, funnels, email lists, followup emails. Seems overwhelming at first but uniting all these different things and more is a necessary process.
-
Creativity - Generating or recognizing ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others is the meaning of creativity.
-
Objectivity - Objectivity is the ability to be objective - to not show favouritism to one side or another. A lack of bias.
-
Long-range planning - A long-range plan is a set of goals that outline the path for the future. When the long-range plan is in place, then a strategic plan needs to be developed to define the objectives and actions needed to achieve the goal set in the long-range plan.
-
Intensity - Intensity is the quality of being very strong, concentrated or difficult. We often say he/she is pretty intense. Staying focused and doing things with intensity is a good quality to have when striving to reach your potential.
-
Effectiveness - In business, effectiveness refers to the level of quality with which a task or process is carried out. The process is effective when it leads to higher overall performance.
-
Discipline - Discipline is one of the most important personality traits in your life. It refers to a set of rules and regulations which are to be followed while undertaking any task or activity. It is a way of being honest, motivated, hard-working and encouraged while doing any task.
-
Thought - There are three types of thought that our brains produce. Insightful thoughts are used for problem solving. Experiential thoughts are focused on the task at hand. Incessant thought is chatter. Insightful thinking helps us to do long range planning and problem solves.
Neurons release brain chemicals known as neurotransmitters. These chemicals generate electrical signals in neighbouring neurons. The electrical signals grow to thousands of neurons which leads to thought formation.
Train of thought is a phrase I have heard or used many times. We say, ‘You interrupted by train of thought.’ or ‘I lost my train of thought when you interrupted me.’ The definition of train of thought is a series of thoughts or ideas that one is having.
-
Control - Control means the power or authority to manage. If you are in control you are in the driver’s seat or in the saddle. You get to call the tune or to lay down the law. What does it mean to want to be in control? Being in control of your life sounds like a positive thing, and in most cases, it can be. But for some people, the need to control everything can be counterproductive.
Taking control of your life means that only you keep the power to set goals and bring changes to your life. You are not being influenced by anyone or anything.
Napoleon Hill, the author of ‘Think and Grow Rich’ said, “You can influence, direct and control your own environment. You can make your life what you want it to be.”
