Take Full Responsibility

Kekich Credo Statements - Take Full Responsibility - Day 231- Daily Content Challenge

Kekich Credo #43 -  Take full responsibility for your actions or lack of action. He who errs must pay. This is an easy concept to grasp from the recipient’s end.

Take full responsibility for your actions or lack of action.  Everything that exists in your life exists because of you.  Your behaviour, words and actions have gotten you where you are today.  A responsible person makes mistakes, but when they do, they take responsibility for those mistakes and they make it right.

Responsibility provides a sense of purpose and builds resilience amidst adversity on an individual and societal level. Sidestepping responsibility may feel good in the short-term, but it leads to exponentially worse pain and suffering in the long term.

Responsible implies holding a specific office, duty or trust.  If you are irresponsible, you care less about the consequences of your actions.  Being irresponsible is the opposite of being responsible.  An irresponsible person does what he likes and doesn’t care what happens as a result.

Accepting responsibility is crucial for success.  It helps you work through your mistakes without being weighed down by regret, guilt, or shame.  As a person becomes better at admitting they are not perfect and doing what needs to be done to make up for their mistakes, it builds strength of character.

Taking ownership of our actions happens when we believe that taking action is not someone else’s responsibility.  As an individual, you are accountable for the quality and timeliness of an outcome.  Even if you are working with others, each person is responsible for their participation in the outcome of the project.

Ways to take responsibility for your life include taking responsibility for your thoughts, your feelings, your words, and your actions.  Stop blaming.  Stop complaining. Refuse to take anything personal.  Make yourself happy.  Live in the present moment. Be intentional. Feel calm and confident.  Above all, look for the good in people.

As this credo statement says - Take full responsibility for your actions.
