Kekich Credo #72 - Always have options. Options are a primary source of power. Power also comes from stripping away appearances and seeing things as they really are.
Always have options. Options are a primary source of power.
What do you mean by options? When I searched the meaning of options I found the definition of options for an investor. I learned that options are financial derivatives that give buyers the right to buy or sell an asset at an agreed-upon price and date. I don’t think this is what the credo statement meant. So I went looking for the definition of the word option.
There are many words related to the word options. They include benefits, choices, opportunities, preferences, rights, privileges, and claims. One definition I found for the word option is the power or right to choose. Freedom of choice.Â
This is the meaning that I am going to discuss. An option is something that can be chosen. It is a possibility. No matter what you do, it is good to have options. When we have no options, we feel trapped.
There is a difference between options and choices. Options are the things and choices are our decisions. Option is the noun for a thing and choice is the noun for your decision. Choice is the ability to select one course of action over another and by making this decision we follow a path or plan to reach a particular goal. Â
A phrase one might use is ‘ that is not an option’. You use this phrase when you want to emphasize that something that has just been suggested is not acceptable to you.Â
To have no options or the expression ‘you leave me with no option’ means you are forced to make one choice - to decide yes or no.
Having the power to make choices will take you closer to fulfilling your goals and dreams.  Â
Having many options means having a variety of choices. We should choose the best option but sometimes that is not always easy to select. The next best option refers to a thing that is not as good as the best but is better than all the others.Â
You have the power to make a decision and take the first step. If you are stuck picking the heading for an ad, or a funnel, or a post, just pick one. Then split test it with the next choice. Don’t over complicate it. Keep it simple and use your power to choose from your many options.Â
