Challenge Your Limits

Kekich Credo Statements - Challenge Your Limits - Day 270 - Daily Content Challenge

Kekich Credo #82 - Question everything. Don’t believe it’s true or right just because it’s conventional. Strip all limits from your imagination on every deal and look for an unconventional creative opportunity in every mistake, crisis or problem. Be flexible, and be willing to turn on a dime when advantageous.

Question everything. Don’t believe it’s true or right just because it’s conventional.

Conventional is an adjective describing things that are normal, ordinary, and following the accepted way.  Something based on what is generally done or believed.  Ho-hum.  Sounds boring. Conventional implies being in accordance with general custom and usage.  It may suggest something that is dull and uninspired lacking originality or independence. Something that deviates from the norm or the accepted standard is unconventional.

Strip all limits on every deal and look for an unconventional creative opportunity in every mistake, crisis or problem.

This sentence acknowledges that there will be mistakes, a crisis and or problems.  Look at these as opportunities.  Look for new creative ways to do something.  Instead of saying it can’t be done or I can’t do this, ask 'How CAN I do this?’  Every mistake, crisis or problem is an opportunity to create a better way to do something.

Even if something has not been done before, it doesn’t mean it cannot be done.  There are a lot of first times.  Everytime, when someone decided that something impossible could be done and then went ahead and did it, it was the first time.

When you push past your limits you can realize your goals.  Find someone to help push you.  Take on a little more than you think you can and imagine yourself reaching your next level.  Look at how others reached where you want to go and identify things they did that you could model.  Inspire yourself to action and don’t stop. Keep on going.

Transcendence is the ability to surpass limits. If you want to transcend yourself you need to set goals.  You need to have something to aim for.  Don’t be limited by your own thoughts and don’t listen to other people’s negativity.  Be focused and committed to reaching your goals.

Be a role model and encourage others to surpass their limits. Smile and praise their effort and progress no matter how small.  Catch them doing something right and let them know you noticed.  Share positive thoughts as soon as they occur to you. Tell others how they helped you and notice when others encourage you.

Challenge your limits.  Fight against doing the safe and comfortable thing.  Step out of your comfort zone and be creative.  Do something new and challenge yourself.  Being limitless gives you the freedom to create the way that is the best and most enjoyable for you.
