Red Chairs - Come and Sit a Spell! Day 64 - Daily Content Challenge

Come and sit a spell!

My photo today shows the three chairs that are placed on the property just outside my window here at Banff Gate Mountain Resort. The snow on the chairs makes me think of cozy blankets that one could curl up in while enjoying the view of the mountains.
They also remind me of the two red chairs used to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary in 2017. Parks Canada placed Red Adirondack Chairs around Canada in National Parks and Historic Sites.
The red chairs placed in Canada’s most unique and treasured places around the National Parks are all about taking time to connect with nature and with each other. Some are easy to find, while others provide more of an adventure.
All of them offer a place to rest, relax, and a place to observe the landscape and the surrounding scenery.
Why two red chairs? What does two red chairs mean? It is meant to get people to sit down and listen to each other, to make a connection, and to see each other as equals.
Go ahead, grab a friend, go for a walk and then relax. Take a selfie on one of our red chairs. Each location offers exquisite views of nearby mountains, rivers or lakes.
Here at Banff Gate there are three chairs, one red, one yellow and one blue.
As the Parks Canada website says, “We
saved you a seat!”
