Today’s message at worship this Sunday was Building One Another Up - saying and doing things that build another person up. It is so easy to say or do things that destroy but it takes time and patience and love to build one another up.
I am finding sharing and thinking about people and things to be thankful for has not only in some small way helped to build someone up, it has also built me up. Looking for things to give thanks for, forces me to focus on positive things rather than on the negative things. Being grateful, giving thanks, builds me up. It gives me joy to discover things I am grateful for.
Today’s list?
1. I heard from my publisher! My book is done. It looks wonderful. Excited for it to arrive in the mail. I am taking orders. Who wants a copy? Comment ‘Yes’ below and I will send you the details.
2. Wonderful Handbell Concert last night. Grateful for all the work done by the Lethbridge Committee to host such a fabulous Discovery and to Fiona and Keith for putting all the technology together to share the virtual concert. Delighted to see the number of people who attended the concert online too! Thank you.
3. I saw friends from Cuba on the zoom chat list last night. Thank you to W. for tuning in to our concert.
4. I shared a short clip with my sister and she gave me a list of friends who might be interested in purchasing a copy of my Traveling Tuesdays book. Looks like the first order of my books is filling up quickly. Thankful for all of my potential buyers and please say yes when R. asks you if you would like a copy!
